We love Lavender for it's relaxing aroma, but Lavender is also known to help with anxiety and soothe the nervous system.
Try this Lavender soda recipe for a cool relaxing drink! It's definitely one of our favourite.
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
- 1-2 cups sparkling water
- 1/2 cup pure cane sugar (or any sugar substitute)
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 teaspoons of food grade dried lavender
Prepare the lavender syrup by mixing the sugar and water. Bring it to a boil, and add the lavender. Let it steep for 30-45 mins. After steeping, strain the lavender bits and keep the syrup in a container. This will syrup will last quite awhile, and you can keep it for a few weeks in the fridge.
For every cup of sparkling water, add 1-2 (or to your taste) tablespoons of the lavender syrup. Add the syrup first and lemon juice into an empty cup first, then fill the glass with sparkling water so you don't have to stir the drink as much. Add ice to your liking.
